Board Profiles
2025-2026 Executive Board

Lisa Felini
President
Lisa received her MBA from Northeastern University in Boston and spent the last 40+years in the areas of finance, investments and economics. Her career included managing money for the Harvard University endowment to managing retirement accounts for individuals. Most recently she worked at Loomis Sayles in Boston creating customized external economic communication, hosting client meetings and representing the company at industry conferences.
Lisa became the Assistant NOPA Treasurer in May 2024 and most recently served as the Treasurer for the past 12 months before being elected to the President’s position. When she is not “working” hard on the members’ behalf, she can be seen at the gym, gardening, sewing, playing Bunco, reading for Book Club, volunteering with the women of Sacred Heart and at the Moore County Hospital. You can also find her on Thursday mornings at the NOPA Coffee Group getting some much needed caffeine!
Joe works remotely in luxury travel sales, primarily for Italy and Central Europe, but works much harder on improving his golf game. Both will continue with their love of travel and (remote) passion for New England sports. It has only been a short time, but the people of Pinehurst and surrounding towns have been extremely welcoming! The Fellinis are excited to have this next chapter in life include many new NOPA friends.

Carol Metoyer
Vice President
Carol and her husband, Fred, moved to Pinehurst in 2020 from Southern California. Thankfully, her sister and brother-in-law lived in Pinehurst as meeting new friends during the CoVid years was, at the least, a challenge. She believes that an organization like NOPA helps bridge the feelings of “newness” to a feeling of belonging.
Carol earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Touro University/New York Medical College, her master’s in nursing education from Gonzaga University, a bachelor’s in health sciences from Chapman University, and her RN from Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles. Since moving to Pinehurst, she was a nursing consultant, adjunct faculty member in the graduate school of nursing at Gonzaga University, and a part time faculty member at UNC Pembroke. Her most recent project was writing the proposal and curriculum for the first DNP program in Population Health for the UNC system.
Carol is a voracious reader and is co-chair of the NOPA Book Clubs. In addition to the Pinehurst area, she loves interior design, cooking and baking, singing in the Chancel Choir, playing Bunco and Trivia, her family, and her chocolate lab, “Boo”.

Linda Monroe
Treasurer
Linda Monroe is eager to bring both experience and heart to the role of treasurer of the Newcomers of Pinehurst Association. Recently relocated from Boston with her husband, Bob (who’s happily exploring the Pinehurst golf scene), Linda moved to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and 6-year-old granddaughter —a military family. NOPA warmly welcomed her, and she looks forward to helping others experience the same sense of community.
With over three decades of experience in global leadership roles at high-tech companies, including Analog Devices, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Rochester Electronics, Linda has built strong, motivated teams. She led transformative improvements across operations and customer service. Her proudest achievements involve mentoring others, supporting career growth, and creating systems that help people thrive.
She holds an MBA from Babson College, completed executive study at Harvard Business School, and earned her BS in Marketing from Clarkson University.
Linda tutors with Moore County Literacy Council. She helps adult learners build confidence and language skills. She is also a SCORE mentor with the Sandhills chapter, helping small business owners start and grow their ventures. Previously, Linda served as the treasurer for the Boston Chapter of Bible Study Fellowship, where she gained insight into the importance of accurately managing a non-profit organization’s finances. She currently co-chairs the NOPA book club and plans to continue in that role while serving as treasurer. She is excited to work with the board and membership to ensure that NOPA fulfills its mission while maintaining the organization’s financial stability.

Bob Monroe
Treasurer
Bob Monroe recently relocated to Pinehurst from the Boston, MA area along with his wife, Linda (NOPA Treasurer), earlier in 2025 to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law (active-duty military) and granddaughter. Bob retired from a managerial position at Bose Corporation where he oversaw a team of strategic sourcing managers in their corporate electronics procurement organization. He spent 40 years in the high-tech industry of semiconductor microcircuits with various roles in product development, engineering, sales, operations and procurement. He also managed and mentored teams of university interns while at Bose that allowed him to share his experience and guide them in their career development, which was particularly rewarding.
Bob also served two terms as an elder at Faith Community Church in Hopkinton, MA where he acted as recording secretary for the Elder Board, as well as developed and documented standards for Board governance and led other special projects chartered by the Board.
Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University in New York state.
He is excited and blessed to be part of the Pinehurst community now and is doing his best to try to develop a respectable golf game (although like many others that effort comes with its ups and downs). Bob loves music, especially jazz, blues, and classic rock, and he is planning to rekindle his jazz trumpet playing skills now that retirement affords him a bit more free time. He is an avid reader of non-fiction, especially history and tech/science and faith related topics. He also enjoys working on home improvement projects and offers a variety of handman services to friends, neighbors and local charities.
Bob, along with Linda, enjoys participating in several of the activities offered by NOPA and has met many wonderful and fun people along the way. He is looking forward to bringing his experience and knowledge into the role of Executive Secretary in service to the NOPA Board and the broader group.
